The course is run blended, with face-to-face- and online sessions. The course is taught by qualified, experienced tutors who hold an online tutoring qualification and Cambridge teaching qualifications.. There is no assessed teaching in this course. Candidates submit a post-course reflective assignment and sit the LCCI FTBE examination to be awared the certificate.

The aim of this course is to provide participants with developed competencies considered as best practice in teaching of Business English.
These techniques and methodologies are combined with elements aimed at understanding basic business concepts in a preparatory course for the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry International’s Qualifications for the First Certificate for Teachers of Business English, (FTBE).
The IH FTBE is a 50 hour course consisting of 30 hours of input and 20 hours of homework (reading or action research) tasks, plus a post-course reflection. The course contains 30 modules divided into 3 strands: Basic Business Awareness, Professional Skills and Methodology and Materials. Course length varies according to the Teacher Training Centre.
